Vote, vote, vote!

Please keep on voting for Oliver. (do a “find” for his name if you have trouble locating him on the page.) We’re down to 300 babies, so it’s slightly easier to find him now than it was in the beginning. Sadly, Miles and Linus have been dropped, but I know that’s what I wanted to happen so I can’t really complain. But still.

He’s made it to the next round along with 299 other babies. This is going to be a loooong contest, people. I don’t think it ends until the end of March. Sigh. But we gotta do what we gotta do, which means continuing to vote for Oliver.

So as you already know, I entered all three boys in this contest sponsored by a local radio station.

For reasons that should be obvious (THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE), you will understand that I’m not playing favorites by asking you to vote for Oliver. We’re simply acknowledging that the picture I entered of Oliver was cuter than the pictures I entered of Linus and Miles. But with three equally adorable babies, the only fair way to choose was to ask an unbiased third party (in this case, some friends of mine) which picture was the cutest. Which picture, not which baby. No need to get up in arms about this. You can look on the voting page. While I think the pictures of Miles and Linus are disgustingly adorable, somehow Oliver’s open mouthed, toothy, dimply, drooly grin is ever so slightly more heart-melting, and therefore slightly more likely to win us a whole mess of prizes, including, for instance, a crystal-bedecked baby nail clipper that retails for $138.

And vote a lot. There’s no limit. And you don’t have to register or anything. You know what they say. “Vote early and often.”

Just to let you know…I vote 4-6 times a day for Oliver. Don’t have much else to do while I sit here with my broken ankle up and unable to do my usual things. Sure do wish they had him at the top of the pictures sometimes…I really have to search for him. Hope he wins.

I think Willa and I are competing to see who can vote the most times a day…she is winning so far. Since the votes reset every week and you start from zero, it is important to tell everyone to vote as many times as they can every week he does not get cut. It I have my way he will be voted the cutest baby.
